High-Tech Lake Retreat

We have just put the final touches on this 2+ year project and the final finished home is a thing most people dream of! When this client reached out to us, they already knew they wanted it all! Having built a smart home in Texas just a few years before, they were already well adapted to the lifestyle and enjoyment technology can bring inside and outside the home.

This home is fully automated with lighting, shades, distributed audio, dedicated media room, security and surveillance cameras. As well as an automated gate, which is all tied together with Control4 as the front-end system and user interface while all the systems core is centrally located in the huge Vault 44U rack, out of site..... and away from the kids in the house!

When we asked the client "Would you like distributed audio in the home, the answer was a huge "yes!" Followed by, “we want it EVERYWHERE!” ..... Perfect, we can do that!! TruAudio has a solution for everything audio, from humidity resistant speakers in the bathrooms, GC-8 speakers are everywhere tied into the central distribution for the Bar, Kitchen, Living Room, Gym, Bedrooms etc., to expansive speaker kits for the lake front shoreline, Outdoor Kitchen and Front Courtyard, as well as the multiple options in 2 media rooms. TruAudio checked off all the boxes!!

The lower-level family room has a very unique feature which associates directly with the TruAudio portion of the installation. The homeowner loved the sound of the TruAudio custom sound bar, paired with the CSUB10 when they came into the showroom. The problem was when they wanted to pair it with a Samsung Frame TV, it would no longer feel right with a sound bar hanging under a "painting". We kicked around ideas with the homeowner and the design team, and then the owner says, "Have you ever wrapped one in solid brass?" The answer at that time was "No... not yet!" So, the solution to keep it sounding great in the room and to keep the sound bar was to dress it up and match the other brass accents in the surrounding space, and I have to say, it came out pretty awesome!

The Front courtyard is completely covered with audio to make sure the kids have tunes up and down the driveway to the gate, so whether skateboarding or riding their bikes, they have music. This keeps their fun times going while Mom and Dad are with friends listening to their own music down by the lake with the fire pit going!

There is not a place within this lakeside retreat that you would have a hard time relaxing and letting go of everyday life! We are happy to have been a big part of this project in our beautiful state!
